It seem that gulls are haunting me. Yesterday on a trip to washington's crossing state park I passed this gull as we drove over the Delaware.
Your life is an island separated from all other islands and continents. Regardless of how many boats you send to other shores or how many ships arrive upon your shores, you yourself are an island separated by its own pains, secluded in its happiness”

“Who is more responsible than a gull who finds and follows meaning, a higher purpose for life? For a thousand years we have scrabbled after fish heads, but now we have a reason to live - to learn, to discover, to be free! “

This photo was taken in the Musee d'Art Moderne et de Culture Georges Pompidou, Paris France, on our trip there this past March. My son Joey is on the far left and my nephew Sam is the third one from the left.

Two roads diverged in a yellow woodAnd sorry I could not travel bothAnd be one traveler, long I stoodAnd looked down one as far as I couldTo where it bent in the undergrowthThen took the other as just as fairAnd having perhaps the better claimBecause it was grassy and wanted wearThough as for that, the passing thereHad worn them really about the sameAnd both that morning equally layIn leaves no step had trodden blackOh, I kept the first for another day!Yet, knowing how way leads onto wayI doubted if I should ever come backI shall be telling this with a sighSomewhere ages and ages henceTwo roads diverged in a woodAnd I took the one less traveled byAnd that has made all the difference.
